Macquarie Atlas Roads Limited (MARL)

Macquarie Atlas Roads Limited’s board comprises four directors, each with broad industry experience.

The directors take an active role in the management of MARL, meeting on a regular basis to review MARL’s affairs. Where required, the board convenes at short notice to consider matters as they arise.

David Walsh

David Walsh

David is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer and company director. He was a partner of the law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques from 1962 to 2004. Currently, he is the chairman of Templeton Global Growth Fund Limited. During the last three years he has also served as a director of PaperlinX Limited (2000–2007) and Dyno Nobel Limited (2006–2008).

Richard England

Richard England, who has also been appointed as the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee of MARL, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a director of a number of other ASX listed companies including Ruralco Holdings, Healthscope and Chandler McLeod Group. He is a former director of St George Bank and a former partner of Ernst & Young (Australia).

Marc de Cure

Marc de Cure

Marc de Cure is Chair of the Australian Institute for Population Aging Research and is a member of the advisory council of the UNSW - Australian School of Business. He was formerly the Executive Chair of GIO Australia, an Executive Director of Henderson plc and a senior executive of AMP Limited, in which he held a number of senior positions including group CFO. He is a former Principal Advisor to Bain & Co and was a senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers until 2000.

John Roberts

John Roberts

John Roberts joined the Macquarie Group in Sydney in 1991. He is based in Sydney and is both Joint Head of the Macquarie Capital Advisers division and directly responsible for the Macquarie Capital Funds group. John is either a Board Director (or an Alternate Director) or on the Investment Committee of the Macquarie Utilities, Media, Retirement and Private Equity Funds, as well as the international Singaporean, Korean, Canadian, US and European entities. John has a Bachelor of Law from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
