MQA is managed by MQA management, which comprises a team of executives employed by the Macquarie Group. The MQA management team includes senior executives from the former Macquarie Infrastructure Group and therefore provides continuity of management, knowledge and experience.
The key executives of MQA are:
Peter is currently a Division Director with Macquarie, having held senior advisory and fund management roles for Macquarie in both Europe and in Australia over the past ten years.
Peter has been actively involved in the development, financing, management and operation of toll roads in Australia, Europe and North America over the past 16 years. Prior to joining Macquarie Infrastructure Group in 2005, Peter was head of European toll roads advisory within the Macquarie Group in London U.K., where he was actively involved in the bidding and development of toll roads across Europe on behalf of European concessionaires. He was also the lead adviser to MIG for its highly successful €816m acquisition of a 40% interest in the Spanish concessions group Cintra.
With over 25 years of infrastructure and capital markets experience covering a broad range of major investment transactions, principally within the transportation sectors, Peter is well qualified to lead MQA through a necessary period of restructure and refinance over the medium term.
Prior to joining Macquarie, Peter was an Executive Vice President with Bankers Trust Australia.
Mary is currently a Division Director with Macquarie and was formerly the Chief Financial Officer of MIG, a position she held for more than four years.
Mary joined Macquarie in 2002 as MIG’s finance manager and was an integral member of the MIG management team until its restructure into Intoll and MQA in February 2010. She has been responsible for all aspects of MIG’s financial management, including the settlement of major transactions such as the IPO of Cintra and acquisition of APRR, arrangement and execution of MIG’s $1.5bn buyback program (a first for a listed trust in Australia), and the transition to International Financial Reporting Standards.
Prior to joining Macquarie, Mary worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ financial services audit practices in London and Sydney. Mary holds an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and an MA from Cambridge University. She is currently studying for a Masters of Finance (Investment Banking) with INSEAD.
